A&V Education Accessibility Scholarship is a scholarship that is offered to 2 students that have overcome or are currently battling an illness, have a disability, or are considered foster youth starting from the academic year 2019-2020. These students must be aspiring to or currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in a public Albanian university. Each scholar will be awarded $500 (USD) each year during their 3-year study in this degree. The funds for this scholarship come entirely from the earnings of Aleksia and Vasia from their work in research laboratories in the University of Pennsylvania, where they are currently studying.
Criteria
An A&V Education Accessibility Scholar is someone who:
- Has overcome or is currently battling an illness; has a disability, or is considered foster youth
- Is an Albanian or Kosovan citizen
- Aspires to or is currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in a public Albanian university
- Maintains an average of at least 7 at the end of each academic year
- Is an active member of the community by engaging in the annual projects of the NPO “Children for Children”

Past Winners
Gisela Koroli is the 2022-2025 winner of the A&V Education Accessibility Scholarship. Gisela identifies as a person with a disability. She is a student at the Faculty of Natural and Social Sciences at the Fan S. Noli University, Korçë. She is studying philosophy and sociology. Apart from her studies, Gisela is distinguished by her love of learning and growth, participating in a plethora of workshops and social campaigns. We congratulate Gisela on all of her achievements!
